  • Robotic Manipulation
    • Sample efficient learning for dexterous manipulation and transfer across objects with varying geometry and physical properties
    • Object-centric transformer models for few-shot transfer of affordances from demonstrations across varying robot morphologies (parallel jaw, anthropomorphic hands, non-anthropomorphic soft robots, etc)
  • Soft Robotic Sensors and End-Effectors
    • Leveraging compliant low-cost materials to augment traditional robots for a wide range of novel manipulation tasks.
    • Developing low-cost sensors with varying material propoerties and studying their impact on different manipulation tasks

  • Service:
    • An active member of RoboOrg, the student organization within the Robotics Institute at CMU. Liason between students and the department to convey issues and proactively work towards solutions. Responsible for expanding the core course curriculum requirements within RI.
    • Participate in outreach events to promote Robotics among middle school and high school students in the Western PA area.
    • Volunteer for the AI Mentoring Program in the School of Computer Science at CMU.
    • Actively help prospective grad students with their applications for graduate studies in Robotics and AI.
